Product Care

Product care to help you get the best from your microfibre products using aquamat aquafibre® and your chiller® cooling products.

AQUAFIBRE – a special type of microfibre for animal use
Machine wash at 30 or 40C. Always ensure when washing that the hook and loop fastenings (velcro style) are fastened together. Do not use fabric softeners. Air dry for longevity. Microfibre will air dry very quickly so there is no need top tumble dry, but if you do tumble dry then again select a low temperature. All our aquafibre® products dry exceptionally quickly. Straps on coats should not be overtightened for a number of reasons. The room your dog requires depends on the activity undertaken and indeed whether your dog is standing, walking, running, jumping or even lying down each will demand different allowances. The overtightened straps may also lead to undue pressure on seams through inappropriate use.

FLEECE
Wash at 30 degrees, do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry cool.

COOLING COATS AND TUBE TOWELS
It is essential these instructions are followed. This will maximise the life and smart appearance of your coat or towel.

The final manufacturing procedure involves steaming the coats using a proven and safe anti-bacterial and fungicidal process. This is why your new coat or towel will be damp in its bag. When new clean and sealed correctly in its packaging, your coat or towel can be stored safely for as long as you wish with no fear of mould or mildew. However, when not clean or after use then storage wet is more difficult and to avoid error we recommend when storing the coat or towel for a prolonged period of time such as over the winter you should allow your Aquamat Chiller to dry out. While wet fold your coat to a convenient size for storage:- Allow coat to dry naturally It will dry hard (like a chamois leather) To rejuvenate and make soft for use do not fold or bend or attempt to pull surfaces apart. Soak in water. As it absorbs the water, gently massage all areas to encourage absorption in all areas. Your coat will open as you do this, then use as normal. You should not bend, fold or pull it apart when dry as this product is made in layers with as mesh within and you may damage a surface, which will not impact performance, but will prove less aesthetically pleasing.

If you wash you coat or towel then whether by hand or machine please note:
Use cool water 30-40 C max Do not use bleaches, sterilising agents. If you add anything to water, then use a mild disinfectant and dilute it as instructed by the manufacturer pouring it into soap dispenser and not straight onto coat. You may use your washing powder/tablets, but again you must put them in the soap dispenser and not into the drum of the machine. Always ensure when washing that the hook and loop fastenings (velcro style) are fastened together.
